Club results from weekend of 30 September/1 October   02/10/2017

In club matches, the U12B girls were 5-1 winners at home to Oughterard B while the U12A girls were out of luck when losing 6-2 away to Kinvara. The home side assisted by a very strong wind took a commanding 4-0 lead, yet only for some good defensive work by Wendy Whiriskey and great saves from keeper Ellie Brennan, Kinvara would have scored more. Craughwell got a fast start to the second half with goals from Alison Morrissey and Grace Keaveney bringing it back to 4-2. Further Craughwell pressure saw Morrissey and Chloe Hallinan both denied by the woodwork and when Tara Morgan and Sole Lopez missed chances, Kinvara scored two break away goals to seal their win. A great effort from the Craughwell girls even though the final scoreline doesn’t reflect their work rate on the day.

The U14A boys missed several chances which proved costly in their 4-2 home defeat to Tuam Celtic. Liam Mulveen and Darragh McCartin were on the scoresheet for United. The U14B boys went down narrowly 2-1 away to Athenry B with Jerry Boyle netting the Craughwell goal.

The U12B boys went down 5-3 away to Salthill Devon C while the U12C boys found Salthill Devon D too strong in Drom on the same morning.
