The U18 boys advanced to the Division 1 Cup semi-final with an excellent 1-0 away win over Merlin Woods FC/Medtronic. Joe Jackson got the only goal from the penalty spot while United keeper Michael Joyce was in outstanding form in keeping the home side scoreless.

The U13A boys were 7-0 winners at home to Colga B with Alex Duggan bagging a hatrick. Roan Budge scored twice with Jerry Boyle and Finn McCartney also getting on the scoresheet. The U13B boys travelled with a weakened team and eventually went down 6-1 to Tuam Celtic B with Jack Barrett on target for United. Elsewhere on Sunday afternoon, the U14 girls lost 5-0 to a strong Mervue United side in Mervue.

Craughwell United were represented by Conor Gilligan, Jamie Collins, Shane Murray and Alan Zimmerer on the Galway U12 Interleague and Academy squads against their Roscommon counterparts on saturday. All four boys made significant contributions in Galway’s two wins with Shane Murray scoring a cracker in the Academy match which Galway eventually won 3-2. Well done to Conor, Jamie, Shane and Alan for representing our club and doing us all proud.
