Club results from weekend of 24-25 March   26/03/2018

The U13 boys had a fine 1-0 win away to Corofin last Saturday morning with an own goal by the home team separating the sides. The junior men’s side lost 2-0 at home to NUIG B with a series of first half missed chances proving costly while the U13B boys lost 5-1 at home to Corrib Rangers with Padraig Finnegan on target for United. The U15 boys were unlucky to lose 4-3 at home to Corrib Celtic having been well behind at one stage. Alex Craven, Jack Farrell and Jack Regan were all on the scoresheet for Craughwell.

On Sunday the U12B boys were too strong for Athenry B with a hatrick from Colm Doyle, two from Jack Murray and one each from Cian Connaughton, Louis Keary and Dara Zimmerer. The U18 girls were also in fine fettle with a 6-0 away win over Kilshanvey United. Right winger Ailvhe Martyn kept up her great recent form with a hatrick, while central midfielders Aoife Raftery (2) and Leah Crotty (1) also scored with quality finishing. Stand-in keeper Emer Mulveen also deserves mention for some great shot stopping. At Coleman Park, the U14 girls were out of luck, losing 3-1 to near neighbours Athenry with Aisling Whyte scoring the United goal.

Finally, the U8 boys (pictured) enjoyed their blitz competition on Saturday afternoon and a special thank you to Colga FC for hosting our players.
