Club results from weekend of 21-22 April   24/04/2018

The junior men’s side went down 3-2 at home to Loughrea B last Saturday. Alan Callanan put United in front after a swift counter attacking move only for the away side to level before the break. Callanan’s attacking partner Eoin Fahy gave Craughwell the lead again but Loughrea responded well with two goals the take all three points.

On Sunday, the U15 boys were defeated 5-1 at home to Moyne Villa with Sean Joyce scoring for Craughwell while the U18 girls went down 3-0 to a strong Corrib Celtic team in Annaghdown. Keeper Siobhan Creaven was in outstanding form while Aoife Raftery put in a huge effort in the holding midfield role but Craughwell couldn’t stop Celtic on a day when they claimed the league title. Well done to Corrib on a great season.

Elsewhere, Cian Connaughton scored twice in the U12B boys home defeat to Colga B while the U12C boys fared better with a 2-2 draw at home to Moyne Villa C.
