Craughwell United FC

The U13 boys got the better of Galway Hibs in an entertaining game at Coleman Park last Saturday morning. The first half was evenly matched with a long range effort from Conor Gilligan separating the teams at the break. The second half started much the same with both teams creating chances until a goal from Jamie Collins put United two in front. However, Hibs finished the stronger, getting a late goal to put the home defence under pressure in the dying moments. Stand out performances for Craughwell from Lucas Keane, Adam Jordan and Cormac Regan with keeper Cormac McFadden pulling off excellent match winning saves late on.

The Craughwell United Juniors were beaten 5-1 at home to Renmore B with Eoin Fahy netting the United goal while the U15 boys also found the going tough when losing 5-0 away to Knocknacarra in their Championship league match.
